Bradenton business go through major inconveniences during boil water advisory

BRADENTON, FL. (WWSB) – On any given day, Drago’s Restaurant in Bradenton is usually slammed during lunch hours, but on Wednesday, the restaurant was closed.
Owner Fernando Drago says he says it’s impossible to function without water. It was all due to a boil water notice issued due to a drop in water pressure.
"it turns about to be something we had to issue a notice for, it didn’t look like it was at first and Tuesday morning that’s what we did."
"i think there should be some type of alert system, especially in the food industry…that’s the first ones who should be alerted…as well as the residents."
Bayview Nursing Rehab Nursing Home in Bradenton was initially unaware of the problem as well but luckily they had the means to make it through.
"we immediately switched to bottled water, so we didn’t have to go the boiling route because we got pretty good at dealing with these emergencies thanks to our good friend Hurricane Irma."
Nursing Home Administrator David Anthony found out through local media about the advisory and like Drago. He says there needs to be a better system in place.
