Brunswick under boil water advisory after many water main leaks

BRUNSWICK, Md.
– The City of Brunswick in Frederick County, Maryland, recently announced a boil water advisory for their residents.
Brunswick experienced five to six water main leaks starting Sunday leaving around 100 residents temporarily out of water.
Brunswick’s Department of Public Works have been working around the clock to restore the pipes.
According to the Mayor of Brunswick, Jeff Snoots, the infrastructure has been a problem for many years.
The city also bought water for their residents to have as they wait for test results from the state.
"We are talking millions of dollars to fix this infrastructure,” said Mayor Snoots.
“Everybody has an answer, but no one has the funds.
So, that is my goal as Mayor and my Council is we continued for the last two years to put money back into the capital improvement plan to fix this."
According to Snoots, they should hope to have results as early as Wednesday.
