Boil Water Advisory issued for Hawkinsville

HAWKINSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Hawkinsville is advising some of its residents to boil their water before using it.
The city says a water main break near Industrial Boulevard caused either low water pressure or no water at all for some customers.
City officials say the backflow of water when this happens could be a potential health hazard.
The areas affected include Industrial Boulevard at Hollingsworth and Vose to Sixth Street towards Knotty Pine Drive.
Pineywood Drive, James Rullo Street, and Risby Street are also affected.
The city says residents within this area should boil their water before drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food.
Although the repair to the water main break is complete, city officials say residents should boil their water until they are notified by the their drinking water utility.

Castlegar water quality advisory lifted

The City of Castlegar’s water quality advisory was rescinded Tuesday afternoon.
The advisory had been in place for eight days when turbidity — the cloudiness of water — slightly exceeded recommended levels.
The situation was caused by the spring freshet or runoff, but turbidity problems do not happen often in Castlegar.

Water main break prompts boil advisory for Waynesville

WAYNESVILLE — The Village of Waynesville has issued a boil advisory for residents on Third Street between Franklin Road and Chapman Street.
The advisory will last until Thursday at 10 a.m. RELATED: See more trending stories on WHIO.com Water will be shut off in those areas until 4 p.m. Tuesday, while crews repair a water main break.

‘Boil water’ notice canceled in Chattahoochee County

CHATTAHOOCHEE CO., GA (WTVM) – The Chattahoochee County Water Department has issued a "boil water" notice in the "Old City Limits" area.
The advisory was issued due to a system disruption Sunday.

Water boil advisory issued for small area in Bossier City

The City of Bossier City has issued a water boil advisory for a small area of Bossier City.
The advisory includes businesses along and adjacent to Doctors Drive and Landry Drive.
Utility construction on Shed Road will require turning down a valve on a water main.
The work is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. today and should take about four hours to complete.
Customers in the affected area will have low water pressure during this time thus the need for the water boil advisory.
The advisory is a precautionary measure and recommends those in the affected area to boil their water for one minute before consuming it until the advisory is rescinded.
The advisory pertains only to water used for consumption.
Again the advisory is a precautionary measure and not a boil order.

S&WB issues boil water advisory for Venetian Isles

NEW ORLEANS — People who live in Venetian Isles were urged Tuesday to boil their water after a water main break dropped pressure below safe levels.
The Sewerage & Water Board said homes and businesses in the areas east of Textron Marine & Land Systems on Chef Menteur Highway might be without water while repairs are made.
The water main broke during construction on a fire hydrant.
Residents in the affected area are advised not to drink, make ice, brush teeth, wash hands, shower or bath without first boiling their tap water until further notice from the S&WB.
Residents should boil water for one full minute in a clean container.
The one-minute boil time begins after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.

County puts boil water advisory in place for Suffield for scheduled cleaning

SUFFIELD, AB — A boil water advisory is in effect for residents of Suffield.
The advisory and water restriction was put in place on Tuesday, and will be in effect until June 8 to accommodate a scheduled cleaning of the reservoirs at the CFB Suffield Water Plant.
The county will lift the advisory and restriction once water quality in the area is returned to potable water standards.
While the water restriction is in place, residents cannot water their lawns or gardens, wash their vehicles or fill water trucks or swimming pools until the restriction is lifted.
The county will provide updates to the boil water advisory on their web page.

S&WB: Boil water advisory issued for Venetian Isles

The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans issued a precautionary boil water advisory for areas of east of Textron Marine & Land Systems on Chef Menteur Highway, including Venetian Isles.
Residents in the affected area are advised per Louisiana Department of Health not to drink, make ice or brush teeth, until further notice.
Restoration work on a fire hydrant Tuesday led to a large water main break at 19700 Chef Menteur Highway.
Water pressure fell below the 15 psi minimum.
Residents and businesses may be without water and will be under a boil water advisory until further notice.
Customers in other areas of the city are not affected and do not need to boil their water.
The boil water advisory will remain in effect until further notice for customers in the affected area.

West Virginia American Water has issued a boil-water advisory for approximately 30 customers on Florida Street, 1st Avenue, and 2nd Avenue in West Charleston, including Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary School.
The advisory follows a water main break.
West Virginia American Water has issued a boil-water advisory for approximately 45 customers on Vinton Street, Dale Court, Ritchie Drive and Rosanna Drive in Huntington.
City of Logan Water Department has issued a boil-water advisory for water customers from the Candlewood Suites on Stratton Street to Three Mile Curve.
The advisory follows a water main break.
Customers in these areas should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.

Town of Nutter Fort issues boil water advisory for part of Harrison County

The town said water was shut off temporarily to fix an emergency main line water leak.
The water has been restored, but residents will be under a boil water advisory.
Customers from Burton Avenue south to Stonewood areas of Nutter Fort should boil their water until further notice, according to the town.
