Sugarloaf residents advised to boil water before drinking it

Shasta County officials are cautioning Sugarloaf Water customers to boil their water before drinking it.
The advisory today comes after the Shasta County public works department said a leak drained the main line and storage tank.
Crews are working on repairs.
The advisory affects about 150 residents in the County Service Area No.
2 south of Lakehead along Lake Shasta.
In the meantime, customers should boil their water before consuming it until testing indicates the water is safe to drink.
It may take until Thursday to complete the testing, the county said.
Water should be boiled for a minute and allowed to be cooled.

Boil-water advisories: April 30, 2018

West Virginia American Water has issued a boil-water advisory for approximately 65 customers on Country Club Boulevard and Wilson Street from Chestnut Street to Country Club Boulevard in South Charleston.
The advisory follows a water main break.
Customers in these areas should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.
West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil-water advisory for customers on Madison Avenue from West 20th Street to West 22nd Street and West 22nd Street North to the alley in Huntington.

Boil advisory issued for Ind. Ramsey Water customers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A water main break is to blame for a precautionary boil advisory issued for customers of Ramsey Water Company and Palmyra Waterworks.
The water company says customers living in multiple Indiana counties are affected including Spencer and Jackson and cities of Greenville and Georgetown.
Customers in zones A, B and C should boil their water for three minutes until further notice.

Gatineau boil-water advisory partially lifted

A major boil-water advisory that was issued Friday for a wide swath of Gatineau, Que., has been partially lifted, the city says.
The advisory was put in place on April 27 after a water main burst on Saint-Louis Street, affecting residents of some 12,000 homes on the city’s east side.
By Sunday, the advisory had been reduced in scope to only cover the area: East of Montée Paiment.
West of Main Street.
South of La Vérendrye Boulevard West.
North of Maloney Boulevard West.
The original advisory stretched as far east as Cheval-Blanc Avenue and as far south as the Ottawa River.
People whose homes remain under the boil-water advisory are still urged to boil their water for one minute before consuming it, the city said Sunday.

Boil water advisory issued for Ramsey Water Company, Palmyra Waterworks customers after main break

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued to customers of Ramsey Water Company and Palmyra Waterworks.
Officials with the Ramsey Water Company are advising customers living in zones A, B or C to boil their water for three minutes before consumption because of a main break.
Palmyra Waterworks officials are also advising customers to boil their water for three minutes minimum before consumption until further notice because of the break at Ramsey Water.

Water system repairs will prompt precautionary boil water advisory in Brighton

BRIGHTON, Mich. – A precautionary boil water advisory will be issued Friday for crews to repair several fire hydrants and replace water main valves.
The water system will be shut down around 9 a.m. and be closed for about six hours.
It will impact residents in the Country Club Annex subdivision who use the Livingston Community Water Authority.
All homes on Ethel Street from Weber Street to Burson Drive will be impacted, as well as some homes on Weber Street and Burson Drive, officials said.
Water pressure will be taken down to zero, so the boil water advisory is being issued for 72 hours or until further notice, officials said.
The repair to the water system is a planned project to replace old, worn out valves and hydrants, officials said.

Boil water notice issued for Bradenton neighboorhood

BRADENTON, FL (WWSB) – A boil water advisory is now in effect for customers along 53rd Avenue East in Bradenton.
The advisory comes as a result of a Saturday water main break in the area, affecting customers on 53rd Avenue between 68th Street East and 71st Street East.
The Manatee County Utilities Department says all water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled as a precaution.
This notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey has shown the water to be safe, normally 24-48 hours.
Officials say a Rolling Boil of one minute is sufficient and as an alternative, bottled water may be used.

Boil-water advisory issued for 12,000 Gatineau, Que., homes

Some 12,000 residences in this area of Gatineau are under a boil-water advisory following a Friday water main break.
(City of Gatineau) Residents across Gatineau are being urged to cut back on their tap water use as a wide swath of the city’s east end is under a boil-water advisory.
Roughly 12,000 homes were placed under the advisory after a water main on Saint-Louis Street ruptured Friday morning.
According to the city, the advisory is in place: East of Montée Paiement.
West of Cheval-Blanc Avenue.
South of La Vérendrye Boulevard.
North of the Ottawa River.
Bottled water available Some 2,000 homes under the advisory could face a temporary interruption in the supply of tap water, while many may also notice weak water pressure, the city said.
While the advisory is in place, city staff will be distributing water bottles at the Centre sportif de Gatineau at 850 de la Gappe Blvd.
Crews are still working to fix the water main, the city said Saturday.

Boil advisory issues for part of Bossier City

(BOSSIER CITY, LA) The City of Bossier City has issued a boil advisory for a small area of Bossier City.
The advisory is for residents and businesses along Shed Road between James Street and Airline Drive.
Construction in this area impacted the 8” water main within this area along Shed Road.
Repairs began this morning, and were completed by 5 this afternoon.
The advisory is a precautionary measure and recommends those in the affected area to boil their water for one minute before consuming it until the advisory is rescinded.
The advisory pertains only to water used for consumption.
Again the advisory is a precautionary measure and not a boil order.
The city will notify the media when the advisory is rescinded.
