But the water main break disrupted business hours for other restaurants in the same shopping center and elsewhere.
At Lucky’s Burger & Brew, a sign taped to the front door alerted customers that the restaurant would delay its opening: “We apologize – due to a large water main break, we cannot in good conscious (sic) open and risk the health of our guests.
We are monitoring the situation and will open shortly after the County gets the repairs done and the Board of Health gives us the go ahead.” Lucky’s general manager Michael Livingston and six other employees had shown up for work as usual.

DeKalb main break: Residents could be under boil water advisory until Saturday
Crews are working around the clock to restore water services in DeKalb after a 48-inch water main broke Wednesday morning, disrupting a multitude of services across the county, including hospitals, businesses, restaurants and schools.
Buford Highway, which was shut down in Doraville most the day, has reopened.
But DeKalb officials said water pressure is still being restored to customers, and a boil water advisory remains in effect for the entire county.
Reggie Wells, acting director of DeKalb’s Watershed Management Department, said Wednesday night it could last for days.
That’s one reason shoppers scrambled to grab bottled water from many stores, clearing the shelves by mid-afternoon.
DeKalb’s Watershed Management department has been plagued by issues over the years, including outdated meters that led to widespread water billing issues and a decaying sewage system that is the source of regular spills.
6:35 a.m.: Crews have lowered a new water main into the ground at the site of the massive water main break, Channel 2 reported.
6:06 a.m.: Water has been restored to Perimeter Mall, which is set to reopen at 10 a.m. Thursday, officials said.

Stores across the area were sold out, so where can DeKalb County residents get water?
Officials took steps to ensure hospitals and other care facilities have a backup plan.
While most hospitals have an emergency supply of water, the DeKalb County Emergency Management Director said her agency is ready to step in if necessary.

The 400-foot well was designed to provide water for brewing beer, but it gave them a way to give back to their neighbors on Wednesday providing reliable drinking water.
The city of Decatur rolled-out its own water trucks.
A massive 6,000-gallon water truck was parked near downtown Decatur and officials filled up containers with drinking water for residents.
