NASCC under water boil advisory

Naval Air Station Corpus Christi has issued a boil water notice on base.
According to NASCC, the notice was put into effect at 10:35 pm Saturday night due to a water main break and low water pressure.
The air station says the water is safe for showering and washing hands, but must be boiled before cooking or brushing teeth.
This boil water notice affects only NASCC.
No water boil warnings have been issued by the city.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) – Officials at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi have issued a water boil notice after a water main break.
That notice was issued Saturday just after 10:30 p.m.
It is unknown how long repairs will take.
The water boil notice remains in affect for the entire base.

New Windsor issues another boil water advisory

NEW WINDSOR – The Town of New Windsor has issued a boil water advisory for a portion of Blooming Grove Turnpike and the surrounding area.
The advisory is issued for Garden Drive, Blooming Grove Turnpike from Garden Drive to Willow Lane, Louise Drive, Cherie Lane, Suburban Court and Oakwood Terrace, including its Oakwood apartment complex for scheduled maintenance.
Residents should boil water or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and preparing food until further notice.

Boil water advisory in effect for some in Schuylkill Haven

A boil water advisory is in effect for some Schuylkill Haven water customers.
The advisory was issued Monday for customers from Avenue A to E; from Main Street to the dead end; the area south of Market Street, east of Saint John Street toward Adamsdale Road to Memorial Drive.
Customers affected were called about the advisory and will receive another call when the advisory is lifted.
Carter Hoffman, water distribution/wastewater collection foreman for the borough, said there were two leaks Monday.
One was on Avenue D and the other on Margaretta Street.
He didn’t know the number of customers affected.

Milford under boil water order

MILFORD, Ind.
(WANE) A boil water advisory is in place in the town of Milford.
An alert Wednesday said that a “communication error” between the well and town’s water tower resulted in low water levels.
The alert said the issue had been resolved but as a measure of community safety, a water boil order was still initiated.
The order will remain in effect until Friday, the town said.

Boil-water advisory: Jan. 24, 2018

Water advisories Wilderness Public Service District has lifted a boil-water advisory for water customers on Backus Branch Road.
Armstrong-Deepwater Public Service District has lifted a boil-water advisory issued on Jan. 15 for its water customers.
Raleigh County Public Service District has lifted a boil-water advisory for water customers of Odd System from Mead to and including Riffes Branch.

Boil-water notice lifted in Cleveland

A boil-water notice issued by the City of Cleveland on Monday afternoon, Jan. 22, has been lifted.
The advisory came abotu after a water main line broke in the Shepherd Drive area, just west of the Cleveland bypass and north of Claude Sims Road.
It applied to water customers who live on Shepherd Drive, Wild Turkey Trail, and Cottage Creek Lane.
Residents of those streets will experience loss of water pressure or no water at all while the line is being repaired.

Boil water advisory in Sellersburg expanded

SELLERSBURG, IN (WAVE) – A boil water advisory has been issued for people in Sellersburg.
Sellersburg Municipal Works issued the advisory Tuesday for customers who live in Hill ‘N Dale, St. Joe Court and Allentown Road on the Hill ‘N Dale side of St. Joe Road.
On Wednesday the advisory was expanded to include N. New Albany Street, Schellers Avenue, Sellers Avenue, Oak Street, N. Indiana Avenue, Greenleaf Road, Short Street and Highway 403 in the Speed, Indiana area.
The expanded area does include the Silver Creek Campus.

Residents in Waynesboro neighorhoods must boil water

AP WAYNESBORO — A water main broke Monday on the Waynesboro area water system, and about 510 customers in two neighborhoods were cautioned to boil water until further notice.
A private contractor broke a water main on the Zullinger water system in Washington Township, according to Waynesboro Water Authority officials.
Residents west of Frick Avenue in Waynesboro to the end of the Zullinger water system were urged to boil water until the pipe is repaired and disinfected.
The authority also announced a boil water advisory for borough residents in the higher elevations of Frick Avenue, Tritle Avenue and Pine Hill Drive in the borough.
The lines must first pass testing for bacteria.
Bacterial contamination may enter the pipes when pressurized, chlorinated water is not present to prevent it.
People using public water in the affected neighborhoods should not drink the water without boiling it first.
Bring all water to a boil.
Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
"A valve blew off of the main line when the contractor exposed the service line."

Boil water advisory still in effect for Algiers, part of Belle Chasse

In Belle Chasse, Plaquemines Parish said a boil advisory has been issued for the following streets near the Woodland Bridge: Keating Drive Jarrell Drive Woodland Highway The Sewerage & Water Board issued the precautionary advisory at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after the utility’s water system on the West Bank saw "a sudden drop in water pressure" around 1:40 p.m.
Typically, testing takes about 24 hours for state lab results to determine whether any bacteria contaminated the the water during low pressure and, if not, a boil advisory can be lifted.
S&WB said the drop in water pressure was because of a break in a 30-inch water main in Algiers near Wall Boulevard and Flanders Street.
Wash fruits and vegetables with bottled or boiled water.
Make new ice with bottled or boiled water.
To be safe, give your pets bottled or boiled water.
Be careful bathing If you’re a healthy adult, you can bathe or shower with tap water.
Use hand sanitizer after washing hands.
Take care cleaning Wash countertops and tables with boiled water.
Wash dishes by hand as usual.
