Planned water outage to affect several in Ashland
ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) — Several Ashland Water Department customers will be affected by a planned outage starting Friday afternoon to make repairs, the agency reports.
It says it will begin around 3:30 p.m. Friday and continue until nearly 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
After the outage, there will be a boil water advisory.
The outage is expected to affect these locations: Blackburn Avenue from U.S. 23 to Pollard Road; The Sherwood Forest area; Holt, Hackworth, Hampton, Short, Newman, Moore, Crooks, Monroe, Elm, Garfield, Roosevelt, Virginia, Iroquois, Seminole, Crawford, Boone, Pollard; Midland Heights, South Ashland and surrounding roads.
Precautionary boil water notice issued for Lantana
According to a written statement at 12:30 a.m., Lantana’s Utilities Department experienced a system-wide failure of the water system pressure.
Service has been restored, however health department regulations require a bacteriological survey to be performed before the boil water notice can be rescinded.
At around 7:30 a.m., public works crews were busy visiting restaurants and other businesses to notify people about the advisory.
* If you have an icemaker, turn it off and do not turn it back on until the boil water notice is no longer in effect.
* Flush your internal water lines.
For example, open your faucets and let the water run until air is expelled and the water runs clear.

Eastern Bartholomew water issues boil order
Eastern Bartholomew Water Corp. has issued a boil advisory for customers on U.S. 31 between County Roads 300E and 100S.
This includes the following mobile home parks: Hilltop, Goldie Ann, Spring Valley and Woodlawn.
Customers should bring water to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute and let cool before consuming.
This boil advisory will be in effect until noon Sunday.
Chariton Hy-Vee handing out free water after boil advisory
CHARITON – The local Chariton Hy-Vee is stepping up to help residents affected by the latest boil advisory in the city.
Friday, January 4, the Chariton Hy-Vee will be handing out free 24-packs of water to residents affected by the boil advisory in their city.
The free packs will be available between 10 AM and 4 PM Friday.
The boil advisory was issued Thursday when the Chariton Water supply had a problem with its distribution system, resulting in the system losing pressure.
With the potential for bacterial contamination, the Chariton Municipal Water Supply is recommending that water be boiled before use for drinking or cooking or that alternative sources be used.

Hamburg Boil water advisory scheduled for Jan. 4

Water customers along the 500 block of South 4th Street between Arch and Maple Street will be experiencing low water pressure and loss of water after 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4.
Crews will be making emergency repairs.
When service is restored, a boil water advisory will be in effect until further notice.
All customers will be noticed when the advisory is lifted.
City of Prince Rupert continues under boil water advisory
PRINCE RUPERT— The 12,000 people who live in Prince Rupert, B.C., still have no clean drinking water, and there’s no word on when they’ll get it back.
For three weeks now, the water supply has been infected with cryptosporidium, which can can cause fever and gastrointestinal distress.
That means all water has to be boiled before it can be used.
The city says there’s no way to remove the cryptosporidium.
It’s just a matter of waiting until it disappears.
UPDATE: Cushing boil advisory has been lifted
CUSHING, Iowa (KTIV) – Officials in Cushing have lifted a water boil advisory in the city.
Officials say the Cushing Water Supply had a scheduled pressure loss Wednesday as part of a planned connection to the distribution system.
Officials say the samples from the water contained no bacteria.
Residents with questions are asked to call City Hall at (712) 384-2189.

Residents will be notified when the advisory has been lifted.

City of Spearman provides update on water main break, boil water advisory
SPEARMAN, Texas (KVII) — The City of Spearman is planning to work on repairing the broken water main on Hancock Street on Friday and possibly over the weekend.
According to the City, in order to repair the line, it is necessary to depressurize the entire water system.
This will mean that some customers will experience loss of water pressure and possibly loss of water services for a short period of time.
The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until the repairs are made and proper testing can take place.
The City is currently anticipating that the water boil advisory will remain in effect until the close of business on Tuesday.

Areas in San Marcos under boil water notice after water main break
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Areas in San Marcos are under a boil water notice after a water main break on Wednesday.
According to the City of San Marcos, a water main broke which affected the Blanco River Village subdivision, Gary Job Corps Center and the San Marcos Regional Airport.
Blanco River Village is under a notice through Thursday morning, while the Gary Job Corps and San Marcos Airport are under a notice until Friday morning.
A reminder that the notice includes boiling water used for washing hands and face, brushing teeth and drinking.
