Precautionary boil water advisory issued for portion of Lower Providence by Pa. American Water
LOWER PROVIDENCE >> Pennsylvania American Water today issued a precautionary boil water advisory for customers in portions of Lower Providence Township following loss of water pressure in one of its storage tanks.
Pennsylvania American Water experienced a loss in positive water pressure on October 5, due to an issue at one of its storage tanks. As a result, there is an increased chance that the water might contain disease-causing organisms.
DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST.
These people should seek advice about drinking water from their health care providers.
Pennsylvania American Water crews have corrected the issue and restored water pressure to the storage tank.
We will inform you when the corrective actions have been completed and you no longer need to boil your water. This information will also be provided on Pennsylvania American Water’s website at www.pennsylvaniaamwater.com, under the Alerts Notifications section.
Boil water advisories issued after water main breaks on Racetrack Road
A boil water advisory has been issued for many areas in Northwest St. Johns County.
There was a broken 20-inch water main at the 4100 block of Racetrack Road, according to JEA. Water maintenance crews from JEA were on site.

JEA has issued a precautionary boil water advisory after a contractor working for a developer hit a 20 inch pipe on Wednesday.
Water lines should be flushed for three minutes after water returns in order to remove any air and possible sediments from the lines.
The advisory is expected to remain in place until the pipe is repaired and two consecutive days of satisfactory bacteriological results have been obtained.

JEA issues boil water advisory for parts of St. Johns County, including 3 schools
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A boil water advisory was issued Wednesday for parts of St. Johns County, including three schools, following a water main break, according to a JEA announcement.
The water main burst when a contractor working for a developer struck a 20-inch pipe near Durbin Creek Elementary, a JEA spokesperson said.
Residents are urged to boil any water they intend to drink or use for cooking. In lieu of that, they’re asked to use bottled water.
The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.

CFPUA issues boil water advisory after water main break
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The CFPUA has issued a precautionary boil water advisory due to a water main break on Myrtle Grove Road.
Water customers at the addresses listed below will experience periods of low pressure and/or outages in the distribution system today.
Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increase the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.
Brushing teeth.
Washing fruits and vegetables.
Preparing food and baby formula.
Making ice.
Giving to pets.
The resulting Precautionary Boil Water Advisory shall be in effect until water quality testing has occurred and service is returned to normal.
Boil advisory issued for some CFPUA customers in southern New Hanover County
Officials with the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority have issued a precautionary boil advisory for some customers in the southern part of New Hanover County following a water main break on Myrtle Grove Road.
Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increase the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system. CFPUA customers in the above-described area are asked to boil their water for one minute, allow it to cool prior to consumption, and store the cooled water in a clean container with a cover. Customers can also utilize another water source such as bottled water.
Boil water advisory issued for local mobile home park
MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – A boil water advisory was issued Wednesday for a local mobile home park.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) said the water at Riverchase Mobile Home Park in northern Manhattan is not safe to use, because there’s bacteria in it.
The advisory will remain in effect until conditions are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
Dispose of ice cubes and do not use ice from a household automatic icemaker.
Disinfect dishes and other food contact surfaces by immersion for at least one minute in clean tap water that contains one teaspoon of unscented household bleach per gallon of water.
Water used for bathing does not generally need to be boiled. Persons with cuts or severe rashes may wish to consult their physicians.
