Boil water advisory issued for Terrace Lake and Carr Hill Road customers

Due to a water line cut by contractors on Terrace Lake Road, water service was disrupted for about three hours for customers on Carr Hill Road, east of Terrace Lake Road and customers on Terrace Lake Road, north of Carr Hill Road.

All customers in Suburban Court were also affected, Southwestern Bartholomew Water Corp. officials said.

Water service was restored by about 1:15 p.m. today, but a boil water advisory has been issued.

The boil water advisory is in effect today until noon Thursday for the customers who had the water outage. As a precaution, customers should bring water to a full boil for five minutes before consumption or use in cooking or food preparation.

On Monday, the water to the customers listed above will be off from 1 to 3 p.m. for water main work.

Boil advisory issued for Dogwood subdivison

Water service has been restored in portions of Dogwood subdivision and a boil advisory is now in effect.

Bossier Parish officials said the service, which had been shut down Monday afternoon when a valve was damaged, was back on line shortly after 3.a.m. Tuesday. A boil advisory will remain in effect until water samples are declared safe by the state health department.

“We appreciate the cooperation and patience of the residents in the Dogwood subdivision who were impacted by the outage,” said Bossier Parish Administrator Bill Altimus.

Update: Huntingburg boil advisory has been lifted

Update:

The boil advisory on Huntingburg’s south side has been lifted.

According to officials, water samples from the area were tested by the Huntingburg Water Department and were deemed safe for consumption.

A boil order was issued Tuesday after a water main break along US 231.

 

Earlier:

HUNTINGBURG — A boil advisory has been issued for certain areas in Huntingburg.

The advisory affects water customers on U.S. 231 between Sunset and Maple Streets as well as all customers on Maple and Oak streets.

According to the city, customers will be notified once the boil advisory has been lifted.

During a boil advisory, the following precautions should be taken:

• Boil water vigorously for 3 minutes prior to use;

• Do not use ice from household ice maker;

•  Disinfect dishes and other food contact surfaces by immersion for at least 1 minute in clean tap water that contains 1 teaspoonful of unscented household bleach per gallon of water; and

•  Let water cool before drinking.

The city says discolored water is possible during the course of the boil advisory.

Customers are advised to use caution when doing laundry during this time, although water used for hand washing or bathing does not generally require boiling.

It is recommended to flush cold water lines before beginning laundry.

Boil Advisory Lifted: Goodwill Water System

A boil advisory has been issued for the Goodwill Water System.

This advisory affects customers at Hwy 2 at Goodwill to Bouef River and Benton Road.

This advisory is in effect until further notice.

It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

+ Boil water for (1) one full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.

Water main break near Corum Road to blame for advisory

Excelsior Springs has issued a boil water advisory Friday for most of the city.

The city said the reason for it is because of a water main break near Corum Road.

Officials said the downtown area and east side of the city, east of Old Orchard Avenue, are not effected by the advisory. The rest of Excelsior Springs is advised to boil water for the next 48 hours.

The city said residents should use boiled or bottled water for drinking, food preparation, mixing baby formula, making ice, washing food, manual utensil and equipment washing, rinsing and sanitizing, brushing teeth or any other activity involving the consumption of water.

WHITE PIGEON, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A Saint Joseph County community is now under a boil water advisory for the second time this month.

White Pigeon village leaders say coliform bacteria has been detected in the water supply and it’s not safe to drink right now unless the water is boiled first.

 School leaders are reminding parents to send a bottle of water with their students for drinking.

This advisory has been lifted

There is a boil water advisory in effect in Carignan in the Monteregie.

City officials say overnight analysis shows that the water may not have been treated properly, and as a precaution, residents are being advised to boil tap water for one minute prior to consumption.

The advisory will remain in place for at least the next two days while further tests are performed.

According to Paul de Jonge, Alberta Health Services (AHS) has lifted the boil water advisory (BWA) on the affected portion east of Lethbridge, north of Highway 4 and south of Highway 3, of the County of Lethbridge Rural Water Association Ltd.
It was stated in an e-mail to the Sunny South News, the cause of the BWA was a low-pressure situation.
This has been corrected and the lines have been flushed.
As per recommendation by AHS, de Jonge added, those who were affected are recommended to disinfect their cistern and send a sample to AHS.
