Boil water advisory issued for Pelican Rapids

Pelican Rapids, Minn. (Valley News Live) Hundreds of people in Pelican Rapids are being urged to boil their water before drinking it.
The city says a water main repair caused the water to go out for 500 homes.
These homes are south of 1st Ave. N. The boil water advisory is expected to be in effect for at least two days.
City officials tell Valley News Live the problem isn’t expected to be fixed until Saturday.
Customers should use boiled water that has cooled or bottled water for: drinking, brushing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, preparing food and baby formula, making ice, giving to pets, and any other activity that results in the physical consumption of water.

— A water main break has resulted in the City of West Carrollton issuing a boil advisory for some of its residents.
The affected area includes Crusader Drive and Gray Goose Ct.
The city says they will retest the water Wednesday afternoon to determine if the boil advisory should be lifted.

Boil advisory issued for Oakland City customers

A boil advisory has been issued for several customers in Oakland City, Indiana, due to a water main break.
The Oakland City Water Department says the water main break happened Tuesday morning.
The boil advisory has been issued for customers on W. Division St. between Franklin St. and West St. Customers are urged to bring all cooking and drinking water to a complete boil for 5 minutes before use.
The boil advisory will remain in place until further notice.

Boil-water advisories

Beckley Water Company has issued a temporary outage from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17.
Area includes Ritter Drive from Sun Builders to Price Lane.
This includes Knoll Apartments, C & O Dam Road, Raleigh Trailer Court, Matherly Dirve, Lewis Drive and all side streets.
Once the water has been restored the affected areas will be under boil-water advisory.
Customers in these areas should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.

UPDATE: Boil water advisory canceled in Osage County

OSAGE COUNTY, Mo.
– UPDATE 10/16: The boil water advisory was lifted Tuesday afternoon.
ORIGINAL: The Osage County Emergency Operations Center issued a boil water advisory Friday afternoon.
According to the center, the advisory was only for district 3 and was caused by work being completed for water line improvements.
The advisory affects residents along County Road 300 and all of county roads 305 and 420.
"This also affects addresses along Highway 100 starting at County Road 300 and Highway 100 up to Country Road 421," according to an emergency operations Facebook post.
Those affected should use only boiled or bottled water for drinking and all other food preparation.

Water outage, boil water advisory issued for Grandview

COLUMBUS, Ind.–Southwestern Bartholomew Water Company has announced that its water service will be shut off tomorrow for some residents of Grandview Lake.
Customers with property starting at the Grandview Lot Owners Association office and ending at 11251 West Grandview Drive are affected.
The water main will be down for repairs on Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Once service is restored, a boil water advisory will be in effect until 4 p.m. on Friday.

Drinking water warning issued for Windham

The Ohio EPA issued the warning after finding manganese present in the village water system.
The warning dictates that "sensitive populations" should not drink the water including: Infants and children and nursing or pregnant women Bottled water is available at the Windham Fire Station.
Anyone unable to pick up water can call the fire station at (330) 326-2225.
Guidelines for water usage include: • INFANTS (less than 1 year) AND NURSING OR PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD NOT DRINK THE WATER; An alternative water should be used for drinking, making infant formula, making ice, and preparing food.
• Healthy adults may continue to drink the water, use the water for bathing, washing hands and washing dishes.
The water may be used for flushing toilets.
Boiling the water will not destroy manganese.
• Consuming water containing manganese may result in damage to the central nervous system.
According to a post on the village Facebook page, steps are being taken to correct the problem as soon as possible.
