Eastburg Borough under boil water advisory after water main break

Cal Miller, of the East Stroudsburg Water Department, said a water main break caused by contractors at the site is responsible for the boil water advisory.
[PATRICK CAMPBELL/POCONO RECORD] The Borough of East Stroudsburg is under a boil water advisory until further notice after a water main break on Lincoln Avenue on Thursday afternoon.
According to Cal Miller, Head Water Plant Operator, the advisory comes as a result of a broken water main that was caused by contractors during the demolition process of the former Kmart plaza.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. and the boil water advisory was put into effect at 5:30 p.m.
It is unclear when the advisory will be lifted but Miller said lifting it typically requires two consecutive days with a total absence of coliform bacteria.

Clinton residents say boil advisory not issued for recent water line break

EAST FELICIANA PARISH – Residents in Clinton are frustrated with the growing water concerns.
This time, boil advisories were not issued for a recent water line break.
The issue has since been fixed, but Smith stopped by the mayor’s office to question why the city was not advised to boil their water.
"Why wasn’t there a boil water notice because the lines had busted?"
Smith said.
"I don’t understand.
In July, the water issue was so bad, the governor sent in bottled water during one boil order.
The city has repeatedly failed to address problems and now has ten days to notify the state.
It’s terrible."
LDH says they do not have a completed report just yet, and they do not believe the issues have been corrected.

Water back on in Tallulah; city still under boil advisory

TALLULAH, La.
(KNOE) – Update: 2/10/19 9:15pm The water is back on in the City of Tallulah, after an issue caused a water outage Sunday evening.
Residents are still asked to boil their water before using it, and to use as little water as possible so they can build up the storage tank.
City Spokeswoman Yvonne Lewis says the boil advisory will last until the LA Department of Health clears their water samples, which could take up to 48 hours.
The City of Tallulah is experience an water outage.
In a statement, the city spokeswoman Yvonne Lewis said "water will be out for all of the evening of Sunday, February 10, 2019.
The water outage will likely extend into the morning of Monday, February 11, 2019.
Once water is re-established, all water customers will be under a BOIL WATER advisory until samples have been cleared by the State."

Boil advisory issued for area of Lafayette after water line damaged

Water District North (WDN) and Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) have issued a Boil Water Advisory for residents and businesses in the area of LA Highway 93 between Gloria Switch Road and Vatican Road.
LUS says that due to an error by private contractor hitting an LUS water line, water pressure dropped significantly this afternoon.
While crews work to repair the damage, LUS is recommending a Boil Water Advisory for the designated area.
Customers in the affected area need to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
This advisory will remain in effect until further notice.

Water boil advisory in Wolcottville lifted

WOLCOTTVILLE, Ind.
(Fort Wayne’s NBC) – Folks living in the town of Wolcottville will no longer have to boil their water to drink or cook with.
A large fire in the downtown area this weekend essentially emptied the town’s water supply, putting the town water below acceptable levels.
They ran the risk of the water not being safe to drink, so they issued a boil water advisory.
After submitting two samples of water to Indiana water officials, they passed.

The water boil advisory in Cohoes has been lifted Sunday afternoon.
A DPW member told NewsChannel 13 all samples came back clean.

Canceled boil water advisory for Pendleton residents

(FOX Carolina) — Pendleton Water Works is issuing a repeal of the boil water advisory, effective on February 10th, at 4:42 pm.
The advisory was given because pressure was lost due to a water main break on S. Elm Street.
Residents not longer need to boil water prior to consumption.
Samples were taken in the area and came back clear, Water Works released to press.

Cohoes boil-water advisory lifted

COHOES — A boil water advisory declared Friday in Cohoes has been lifted.
The advisory, issued after a water main break in the vicinity of 6 Berkley Avenue, affected nearly 3,000 households in the vicinity.
The affected areas were placed under the boil advisory until the water could be tested by an environmental laboratory.
Tests found no bacteria in the system.
City officials say residents can resume normal consumption of water.

UPDATE: Boil water advisory in West Union lifted, residents asked to conserve water

WEST UNION, W.Va. (WDTV) — UPDATE 2/5/19 A boil water advisory put into place for all of West Union after a water main break last week has been lifted.
Officials are asking that residents conserve water for the next 24 hours.

According to West Union water officials, due to water main break, an emergency water shut down for all of West Union will take place immediately.
City officials say crews are on scene working on the breaks and will get water on as soon as possible.

Cohoes ends boil water advisory

The boil water advisory issued on Friday for much of the City of Cohoes after a main water valve break was lifted Sunday afternoon.
The advisory covered nearly 3000 households.
The affected areas of Friday’s outage were put under the precautionary advisory until tests results found there is no bacteria present.
The main that broke on Berkley Avenue Friday dates back to about 1910.
The water emergency affected between 2,500 and 3,000 households in an area stretching from Cohoes Falls to the Lansing Pool.
Residents can now drink and use city water as they would normally do.
