Water line break over the weekend causes boil water advisory
OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) – Ohio County Water District announced a boil water advisory after a water line broke early Saturday.
The water district had a 12-inch-line blow out on Flint Springs Road in Ohio County.
Officials say the water line is fixed but they’re advising people to boil their water until all lines are flushed and the right sampling results come out.
Flint Springs, Fordsville, Askins, Olaton, Baizetown, and Horsebranch are under the advisory until further notice.
They say the advisory will be lifted no earlier than Wednesday.
All of Daviess Co. under State of Emergency after water main break
The entire county is now under a State of Emergency following the water main break at the old OMU water plant early Monday.
Owensboro Police say a water main leak has flooded the 2000 block of E 4th.
The area between Birkhead Ave and Leitchfield Rd on E 4th St and E 2nd St have been blocked off entirely due to the leak.
This includes Wing Avenue.
Officials with East Daviess County Water say all customers in Daviess, Hancock, and Ohio counties are under a boil advisory.
All customers are being asked to conserve water.
At the Hometown IGA in Owensboro, they ran out of water bottles for sale, but say there is more on the way.
Officials with the Judicial Center tell us the building is closed Monday because of the leak.
Those closed parts of Owensboro Health include: Business Center Ford Campus (except for Owensboro Health medical group; maternal and fetal medicine) Healthpark Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center Owensboro Parks and Recreation is also closing off several of its features for Monday.

Boil Water Advisory Issued for Owensboro and Daviess County Following Water Main Break
Residents of Owensboro and Daviess County could be without water for an extended period of time after a water main ruptured in front of the Owensboro Municipal Utilities’ treatment facility on 4th St.
It’s unknown what caused the main break, which occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Monday.
OMU crews are working to isolate the break in order to make repairs.
The lack of pressure has resulted in an unknown number of customers without water.
For those who do have water, a boil water advisory is in effect until further notice for east, southeast, and west water district customers.
"You need to bring water that you plan to either drink or use in cooking to a boil for three minutes," said OMU Commuications Manager Sonya Dixon.
"It does not affect, for instance, if you’re going to take a shower.
This is only for water that you’re going to consume."
OMU doesn’t have an estimated time for restoration of service.
The water main break didn’t force any evacuations, but Western Kentucky University’s Owensboro campus and Owensboro Community and Technical College canceled classes for Monday.
Boil water advisory issued for Town of Clinton
EAST FELICIANA PARISH – Residents in the Town of Clinton are under a boil water advisory after a main break.
According to a release from the Town of Clinton’s Water System, the break in the line occurred on Jackson Street under the bridge that feeds all of the Rileyville, Pretty Creek Subdivision, and all other residents and businesses in the vicinity.
The release didn’t say when the break happened.
The boil water advisory will remain in effect until rescinded by the Town of Clinton.
It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it.

Boil advisory issued for Daviess County due to water main leak
A boil advisory has been issued for a large portion of Daviess County due to a water main leak Monday morning.
OMU is asking that everyone bring their water to a rolling boil for three minutes before consumption.
OMU says the boil precaution is only for consuming.
The water is safe for bathing.
According to OMU, most customers don’t have water.
The Owensboro Police Department said a water main on East 4th Street began to leak Monday morning.
OMU is asking customers to prepare for an extended water outage as crews work to excavate the broken main.
Authorities are asking for everyone to avoid the area while OMU crews work to stop the leak.
The area between Birkhead Avenue and Leitchfield Road on East 4th Street has been blocked off.

Portion of Rochester Hills under boil water advisory due to loss of pressure
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – An area of northwest Rochester Hills is under a boil water advisory due to a loss of water pressure.
The area is north of Tienken Road and west of Livernois Road.
Everyone who lives or works in this area is advised to boil water before using it until further notice.
"This boil water notice shall remain in effect until results from the sampling verify the water is safe to drink.
An update will be provided on our communication channels when the boil water advisory has been lifted," reads a statement from the city.

Boil water advisory issued for Clare
Some Clare residents are under a boil water after the city’s water distribution system experience low pressure.
The water notice applies to the northwestern and northern area of the city, from Wheaton Street north to the US-127 Expressway, from Woodlawn Drive to McEwan Street.
Residents should bring their water to a rolling boil for a full minute and cool before using.
Bottled water can be used as well.
The city is now flushing the water system and sanitizing the water delivery system.
The city said the boil water notice will likely be in effect until Monday.

Sandy lifts its boil advisory for tap water
The city of Sandy has flushed the lines and has lifted its boil advisory, giving the all-clear to drink the tap water and use it for all other purposes.
The city of Sandy has lifted its boil advisory, reporting it’s safe to drink and prepare food with tap water.
Sandy City Manager Kim Yamashita gave the all-clear in an email to The Sandy Post at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 8.
Sandy residents in "the affected area" where warned against drinking the water after a valve malfunction caused a reservoir to run dry in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 7.
The affected area was generally west of Langensand Road and east of Meinig Avenue, primarily south of Highway 26.
Public Works Director Mike Walker said when water pressure in the distribution system (the pipes in the street that serve your home or business) drops below 20 psi, groundwater can be drawn back into the piping system.
That groundwater can contain contaminates, such as coliform bacteria.

***UPDATE*** HARTFORD, Ky. (7/8/18 – 2:15 p.m.) — The Ohio County Water District anticipates the Boil Water Advisory for the northeastern part of Ohio County to be lifted no earlier than Wednesday.
The Water District must flush lines and wait on sampling results.
As soon as the Boil Water Advisory is lifted, the Water District will update.

City of Clare issues boil water advisory
CLARE, Mich. – Some families living in the city of Clare need to boil their water before using it.
The city says a boil water advisory is in effect until Monday night.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, washing dishes, cooking and brushing teeth.
The affected area includes some of the northern parts of the city down to the US-127 expressway.
Clare officials say elevated coliform bacteria was found in the water system.
