The city of Summerville has issued a boil water notice for all of its customers until at least Friday, according to Interim City Manager Janice Galloway.
The power went off at the plant on Filter Plant Road in the early morning hours.
As of 11 a.m., the power is restored and pressure is slowly returning throughout the system.

Galloway said the city will run biological tests on the water to see when it’s OK to lift the boil water notice.
However, the boil water advisory is in place through Friday.

UPDATE: Water expected to be turned back on at Hagerman rest area
HAGERMAN — Water at a rest area near Hagerman could be turned back on Tuesday after testing showed it was now E. coli free.
Last week the Idaho Transportation Department disabled water fountains at the rest area south of Hagerman on U.S. 30 after routine testing indicated the water supply had become contaminated.
Shawn Webb, district facilities manager with the Idaho Department of Transportation, said further tests indicated the E. coli was gone, but the Department of Environmental Quality requires another set of tests for the boil advisory to be lifted.
IDT should receive the results Tuesday morning.
Webb said it is unclear what caused the initial testing to show the water supply had been contaminated.

Why some Redlands residents received late-night notice to boil water
Hundreds of Redlands residents got late-night knocks and calls from the city Friday, June 29, urging them to boil their water after an equipment failure in the area.
The advisory was lifted Sunday evening, according to city spokesman Carl Baker.
Baker said a pump that services equipment near the corner of East Sunset Drive and Ford Street failed, causing low water pressure in the area.
Results from the first test came back negative Friday, but while waiting for the second test’s results, out of an abundance of caution, the city asked those in the affected area to boil their water, Baker said.
The city activated its reverse 911 system about 11 p.m. Friday, calling about 580 homes and sending city workers door to door in south Redlands to hand out notices.
The city also delivered a case of water to every home.
By Sunday, results from the second test also came back negative, and the alert was rescinded.
“At no time was there any indication that the water was anything less than drinkable,” Baker said.

Water main break brings boil water advisory to Ocean Isle Beach
Some Ocean Isle Beach residents are under a boil water advisory Monday.
The town said in a Facebook post the boil water advisory is in effect for those west of the water tower due to a water main break on the west end of the island.
A loss of pressure has occurred due to the water main break and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend bringing water to a rolling boil for one minute before it is consumed.
Once the water main is repaired and pressure is restored, samples will be taken and town staff will update the public.

Boil Water Advisory to be Issued Following OWASA Repairs in Chapel Hill
The Orange Water and Sewer Authority is in the process of repairing a water line in front of 214 West Cameron Avenue in Chapel Hill.
Once the repairs are completed, a boil water advisory will be issued when service is restored.
West Cameron Avenue between Wilson Street and Pittsboro Street has been closed throughout the day until repairs are complete.
Crews are taking measures to control the runoff of sediment into storm drains, which discharges into creeks and streams.
Residents may notice sediment in the street and cloudy water in ditches and streams around the area of the break.
Officials have not yet indicated how long the advisory will be in effect for.
OWASA has stated that eight customers and zero hydrants will be affected.
“Our OWASA team is working hard to repair the line as soon as possible.
Affected customers can contact OWASA for bottled water by calling 919-968-4421 at anytime,” OWASA communications and community relations officer Linda Low said in a release.
