MORRIS TWP.
The water quality samples have been analyzed by the Southwest Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority (SMCMUA) and passed.
The map accompanying this article notes the areas where boiling water is recommended.
The area stretches from Mendham Road at Whitehead Road to Sussex Avenue at Craig Road to Egbert Avenue and Woodlawn Drive and the land in between.
If discolored water is observed, flush the internal cold water plumbing lines until all faucets run clear, start at the lowest level of your home or business and work your way to the highest level floor.
Flush sinks, tubs, showers, all appliances that utilize water and outdoor hose bibs.
Flush the water lines that feed the washing machine and dishwasher before use by running each through one cycle.
If discolored water is utilized to wash laundry, it may become stained, in this case the laundry may have to be rewashed (do not dry stained laundry) using an iron stain remover product.
Follow manufacturer recommendations for any necessary flushing of water softeners/cartridge filters.
If the water pressure or flow is lower than normal at a specific faucet, remove and clean the aerator screen.

Hy-Vee Donating Water to Counties Affected by Boil Order, Which May Soon End

IOWA — The long wait for drinkable water in seven southern Iowa counties is nearly over.
A filter at the Southern Iowa Rural Water Association (SIRWA) in Creston failed on June 1st, and since then customers have been under a boil advisory.
Repairs have since been made, but all affected communities will have to flush their water towers and water mains, and then test for possible contaminates.
That process has already started in Creston.
If their samples pass, the boil advisory in the city will be lifted.
Hy-Vee is partnering with Anheuser-Busch to donate more than 6,000 gallons of water to the seven counties affected.
The water will be delivered to Prescott, Lenox, and Nodaway on Sunday.
