CECILIA, La. (KLFY)—The Cecilia Water Cooperation has issued a boil advisory, officials said.

According to a news release, the advisory is due to contractors breaking a water main on Grand Point hwy. This line break is causing the Cecilia Water System to experience low pressure in the distribution system.

Because of these problems, officials said water is of questionable microbiological quality.

As a precaution, the Cecilia Water Corporation issued the boil advisory for customers south of I-10. The advisory will be in effect until rescinded by your water supply owners.

It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (Including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods.

Boil water for one full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.
