City of Fayette under boil advisory

City of Fayette under boil advisory.
FAYETTE — Everyone who receives water from the City of Fayette is under a boil advisory until further notice, city officials announced Wednesday evening.
According to the city, workers were making a disconnection from the city’s old water plant, and the disconnection failed, necessitating repairs to be performed Wednesday evening.
The water pressure at that time will drop below standards set by the Department of Natural Resources, so the city has issued a boil advisory.
Water customers should boil water vigorously for at least three minutes before using.
You should only use water that has been boiled for drinking, brushing teeth, diluting fruit juice, and food preparation.
Ice from automatic ice makers should be discarded.
You should disinfect dishes by immersing them in clean water that contains one teaspoon of bleach per gallon.
Water used for bathing does not need to be boiled.
