VERNON – A boil water notice issued Aug. 3 for all Vernon water customers has been rescinded.
City of Vernon rescinded the advisory early Tuesday morning.
Due to a water line tie-in connected to the widening of lanes on State Road 79, the city had been under a five-day boil water notice.
Chlorination of the water system and the satisfactory completion of the bacteriological survey and showed the water was safe to drink.
