DPU issues boil water advisory

Orangeburg’s Department of Public Utilities has issued a boil water advisory for customers along Neeses Highway from Rivers Turn to Shillings Bridge Road.
The affected area includes Rivers Turn Road, Rivers Ridge Drive, Sparklewood Drive, Hamer Lane, Montezuma Drive and Acacia Lane.
As a precaution, customers in the affected area are asked to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to cooking or drinking.
Any residents near the affected area who have lost water or water pressure are also advised to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to cooking or drinking.
The Water Division has experienced a water main break in the area.
Water customers should continue boiling water until otherwise notified by Orangeburg DPU.
