DUFF — A busted water main at County Road 500W and State Road 64 has resulted in the Duff Water Corporation issuing a water boil advisory for some customers living west of Huntingburg along State Road 64.

Keith Whitsitt, the utility’s superintendent, discovered and repaired the break Monday.

Households affected by the boil advisory are those living along State Road 64 between county roads 400W and 500W.

As a precaution, residents living in that area are urged to bring all cooking and drinking water to a complete boil for five minutes before using, according to Whitsitt.

The boil advisory is in effect until further notice.
