The El Dorado Irrigation District has issued a “boil water notice” in an area of El Dorado Hills due to a recent waterline break.
Repairs are underway along Salmon Falls Road to make the necessary repairs.
Residents are asked to use bottled water or tap water that has been boiled for at least one minute and then cooled for drinking, food preparation, brushing teeth and other personal hygiene uses.
Do not use ice from automatic ice makers and do not rely on commercial water filtration systems.
“We do not have an anticipated time of repair at this time,” officials said.
EID will contact residents when it is safe to use water and the boil water advisory has been lifted.
