A boil advisory has been issued for parts of downtown Evansville Monday afternoon.

It will affect N.W. Riverside Drive from Vine Street north to Goodsell Avenue and from South Third Avenue from N.W. Riverside east to Ohio Street.

The boil advisory was issued because of system upgrades and it could last for at least 48 hours.

Residents are advised to boil their water for five minutes before using until the water boil advisory is lifted.
