Iowa American lifts precautionary boil advisory in Cliinton

Iowa American has lifted the precautionary boil advisory in its Clinton district.
Water-quality tests have confirmed that the water continues to meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Safe Drinking Water Act and Iowa Department of Natural Resources regulations, so customers do not need to boil water before drinking or cooking.
The advisory was the result of a 16-inch water main break that happened Monday in the 1400 block of 13th Avenue South in Clinton that had an impact on the entire community.
Clinton customers were notified of the advisory lift via the company’s automated CodeRED customer notification system.
