The city of Jeffersonville will be under a boil water advisory starting at midnight and ending at 8 a.m. on September 5, according to release from the mayor.

Maintenance has recently been completed on the water tank and it now must be filled to working capacity.

The water pressure may drop below the appropriate level, which can cause a potential health hazard.

The release says there has been NO contamination to the system, the advisory is just a precaution.
