A precautionary boil water notice has been rescinded for residents in the Carriage Drive area in Mims.

The notice on Thursday was the result of a water main break and residents impacted lived on Carriage Drive, Lantern Court, West Carriage Drive, East Carriage Drive, Lancaster Lane, Devon Court and Candle Court.

Officials said Saturday satisfactory completion of the bacteriological survey showed that the water is safe to drink.
