DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) – Danville Officials say the boil advisory is still in effect after a water main break Tuesday.

They say as of 6:03 Wednesday morning, Danville Utilities collected water samples for testing. Officials say those samples must be incubated for 16 hours at a set temperature. They say if the samples meet drinking water standards, the advisory will be lifted.

Officials say the earliest the boil advisory can be lifted is Thursday morning.

According to officials, drastic changes in temperature caused the line to break Tuesday afternoon.
