UPDATE: Boil water advisory for part of Hurricane

UPDATE 8/9/2016 @ 6:30 a.m.
HURRICANE, W.Va. (WSAZ) — A boil water advisory is now in place for around 90 customers following a water main break behind Hurricane Middle School.

Customers along Lakeview, Fairview, Melrose, Lawson, and Nilan Drive are under the advisory.

Affected customers should boil their water until further notice.

HURRICANE, W.Va. (WSAZ) — Crews were working Monday night to fix a water main break behind Hurricane Middle School.

Mayor Scott Edwards says it happened near Nilan Drive and Fairview Drive, which is behind the school.

He said 60 homes are affected by the break.

For those residents in the area, water service may be cloudy, then turned off for about three to five hours as crews repair the break.
