Original story:

The boil water notice remained in effect Wednesday for water customers along West Main Street from Magnolia Drive to Woodland Drive and on Mountain View Avenue from West Main Street to Hawthorne.

The notice was precautionary, but necessary due to a break in a 12-inch diameter water line along West Main Street, according to a news release from the city. The break left 60 customers without water.

Danville Utilities crews worked throughout Tuesday night to repair the line. Water service was restored at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
