UPDATE: Bossier Parish community no longer has to boil water

BOSSIER PARISH, La. – UPDATE:

Village Water System officials announced Friday that the boil advisory has been lifted in the Haughton area.

The advisory is no longer in effect for customers on Virginia Road, Highway 614 from Stewart Road towards I-20, Stewart Road, Baker Road, and Staton Drive.

You are being advised to boil your water if you live in the Haughton area.

Officials with the Village Water System issued the advisory Wednesday after the water was turned off due to necessary repairs.

The boil advisory includes the area extending from: Virginia Rd., Hwy 614 from Stewart Rd. towards I-20, Stewart Rd., Baker Rd., and Staton Dr.

You should boil your water for at least one minute before eating, drinking, making ice or brushing your teeth.

The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
