— MAWSA (@MAWSA_PA) February 2, 2019 The water main break started Friday night, according to Northern Lancaster County Regional police, with Route 72 closed from Sun Hill Road in Penn Township to the Twin Kiss right before the intersection with Fruitville Pike in Manheim Borough.
Authority manager Terry Shaffer said shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday that crews have been working at the scene since 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Shaffer said the 8-inch water main that broke is difficult to reach, between steel girders underneath the PennDOT bridge.
All 125 affected customers will be under a boil water advisory until Wednesday, Feb. 6, he said.
