Water boil advisory issued for Village of Interlaken after flooding
A water boil advisory has been issued for the Village of Interlaken after flooding, according to the Seneca County Health Department.
Heavy flooding in the area caused excess water in the area of the well head.
County health officials say not to drink the water without boiling it first.
Neighbors should bring water to a boil first before using, or use bottled water.
Harmful microbes in drinking water may pose health risks for infants, some elderly, and people with severely compromised immune systems.
