Water boil lifted for Tallulah

TALLULAH, La.
(KNOE) – The water boil advisory is lifted for the City of Tallulah Water.
Officials say regular consumption and use of water is okay.
Beginning Thursday, February 1, 2018, the city will start major flushing of the water distribution lines.
Mayor Paxton J.
Branch said, "After experiencing major problems with our water system over the past almost three weeks, we wanted to wait until our water inventory was near capacity before we began with the flushing.
We are at a place now where we feel confident that our water inventory is sufficient to begin flushing.
As well, Entergy will be at the water plant at some point over the next two days repairing the transformer that damaged our control panel on January 24, 2018.
We’re working to get everything back to normal operation after our water crisis."
