A boil water order for Horton and Willis earlier this week has been lifted.

Mayor Tim Lentz said a 10-inch water main break occurred between Third and Fourth Avenue at 15th Street on Tuesday. He said the line that broke is the main one that feeds the water customers in both Horton and Willis, causing the boil water order, which was issued by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

The repairs caused a detour for traffic entering Horton on U.S. 73 Highway.
