Water main break causes Galion boil advisory

(Photo: Submitted) GALION – Some Galion residents will need to boil their water before consuming it for the next day after a water main break Tuesday morning.
The broken water main on North Columbus Street was repaired by city workers just before noon Tuesday, according to Matt Echelberry, the city’s communication director.
He said the advisory includes "all residences on North Columbus Street between East Payne and the bridge (south of Sherman), as well as Olentangy Court and Jan Court."
Once water service was restored, residents within in the affected area were asked to run their faucets for at least one minute to clear out their lines.
