TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) –  Water main work in Trotwood had Olive Road closed for a time Friday morning.

That work was completed and the road reopened Friday afternoon, but Eric Baxter, Trotwood Public Works Operations Manager says a boil advisory has been issued.

The work being done caused low pressure in the water lines and testing needs to be done to ensure the water is safe.

Until then, Baxter says a boil advisory will be in place. The areas affected by the boil order are people who live on Olive Road between E. Main Street and Grand Oak Boulevard and everyone who lives in the Oakview Estate neighborhood. Those affected should boil water before using it to drink cook, or brush your teeth for three minutes.

The boil advisory will remain in place until further notice.
