Water safe to drink in Chuluota again, per officials

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) rescinded a precautionary boil-water notice Thursday afternoon.

The boil-water alert was issued on Tuesday for 1,560 Chuluota Utility System Customers after a water main break.

The water main has since been repaired.

Water test results came back negative and the boil-water alert was lifted.

FGUA said it issues a boil-water advisory under the Florida Department of Environmental Protection when water pressure drops below 20 pounds per square inch in the service area.
